Process - Scoped to ship.
We design our process around how small business owners actually have time to engage. Short cycles, clear hand-offs, and you stay in the loop without it becoming a second job.
Scope
We start with a short conversation about what's actually broken or missing — not a discovery deck. Within a couple of calls we have enough to write a fixed-scope proposal with a price, a shape, and what's not included.
Most projects start within a week of that proposal. If something isn't a good fit for us — or shouldn't be a project at all — we'll say so.
What you'll see
- Discovery call
- Written proposal
- Fixed price
- Clear scope
Build
We build in short cycles you can keep up with. Weekly written updates, a working preview to look at, and a single point of contact who's actually doing the work.
Tools stay boring on purpose. We use what your business can keep running, with documentation written for the person paying the bill.
Hand off
We finish projects. You leave with everything you need to keep running it without us — credentials, runbooks, and the actual code.
What you keep
- The code. Hosted in your account, on your domain, with you as the owner.
- The credentials. We don't hold critical keys. Anything operational lives where your business can manage it.
- The runbook. Plain-language docs covering how it works, what could break, and how to fix the common things.
Principles - What we hold to.
A few commitments that shape how we work, in order of how often they come up.
- Project-based pricing. We bill by the project. You see a price and a scope before we start.
- Tool-agnostic. We pick the tools that fit your business — not the ones we get referral fees from.
- Plain language. Proposals, status updates, and documentation are written so you can actually evaluate them.
- Scoped to ship. We pick problems that fit a project. If yours is bigger or smaller than you think, we'll say so.
- Hand off, don't lock in. You should be able to keep running what we built without us. That's a feature, not a bug.
- Honest about AI. We use AI where it earns its keep — and we'll tell you where it doesn't.
